Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut has reacted sharply to a statement by Shiv Sena MP Milind Deora, emphasizing the need for strict action against all foreigners entering India illegally, calling it a matter of national security.
Raut remarked, “Not just Bangladeshis, but every foreigner coming to India illegally must be deported. In the US, 17,000 Indians are being removed—even though they are not illegal. Here in India, the responsibility for addressing this lies with Maharashtra Home Minister Devendra Fadnavis.”
Taking a dig at Deora, Raut said, “This MP should take the matter to CM Fadnavis. But why do they always raise such issues only during elections?”
Raut’s comments come amid heightened political activity in Maharashtra, where the issue of illegal immigration has become a recurring topic in political discourse. The debate underscores the tensions between the Shiv Sena factions and the ruling coalition in Maharashtra ahead of upcoming elections.
