Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut has welcomed the BJP-led government's initiative to help 36 lakh Muslims under the 'Saugat-e-Modi' campaign in Bihar but questioned the silence of so-called Hindutva leaders in Maharashtra.
"If on Diwali the government helps Hindu people and similarly if the government has decided to help 36 lakh Muslim people, we welcome that. However, in states like Maharashtra, fake 'Hindutvawadi' people are spitting venom against Muslims. I want to know their reaction on this (Saugat-e-Modi). Will they accept this?" Raut asked.
