Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut responded firmly to AIMIM spokesperson Waris Pathan’s remarks on the upcoming Municipal Corporation elections, emphasizing the importance of securing a majority before claiming the mayoral post.
Raut said, “Contest the elections and secure a majority. To become the mayor, a majority is essential. Win a majority, get elected from 110 seats and then hold discussions. This is Mumbai, the capital of Maharashtra, and we have always believed that the mayor here should be Marathi-speaking.”
