Samajwadi Party (SP) MLA Abu Azmi has refuted allegations of making derogatory remarks against Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, stating that his words have been misrepresented. While leaving the Marine Drive police station, he clarified that his visit was a routine attendance requirement and urged the government to take strict action against those spreading divisive content.
"Today was the last day, and I had to give my attendance. I have never spoken ill of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, or any great leaders of this country. However, there are people making such statements, and they are easily accessible on mobile phones. The government must take steps to prevent the spread of such content," Azmi told reporters.
