The Supreme Court today reprimanded popular YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia during the hearing of his plea regarding multiple FIRs filed against him. The FIRs stemmed from offensive comments made by Allahbadia on the show India's Got Latent, hosted by comedian Samay Raina.

Allahbadia had sought to have the FIRs, filed in different states including Assam, Mumbai, and Jaipur, consolidated. The Supreme Court's response was harsh, criticizing the influencer for his inappropriate comments on the show. At least three FIRs have been registered against him so far, and authorities in Mumbai and Guwahati have reported that Allahbadia is "unreachable."

The controversy erupted after Allahbadia made lewd remarks about "parents and sex" on the YouTube show. The episode was quickly removed from the platform, and Allahbadia issued an apology, acknowledging the remarks as "not funny" and apologizing for their inappropriateness.

In addition to Allahbadia, the Maharashtra Cyber Department summoned 42 people involved in the production of the show, including producers and influencers. Among the accused are Samay Raina and Apoorva Mukhija. Statements have already been recorded from individuals such as Devesh Dixit and Raghu Ram.

The Maharashtra Cyber Cell warned that an arrest warrant could be issued against those not cooperating with the investigation. Allahbadia, who has been unresponsive to multiple summons from authorities in Maharashtra, Guwahati, and Jaipur, is facing increasing legal pressure. The Maharashtra Cyber Department has now scheduled another hearing for him on February 24.

Allahbadia also informed the National Commission for Women (NCW) that he had received death threats and requested a delay in the hearing. The NCW agreed, rescheduling the hearing for March 6. The case continues to draw significant public and legal attention.
