An explosion occurred at an ordinance factory in Jawahar Nagar, Bhandara, Maharashtra, resulting in at least five fatalities. The blast, reported by ABP News, caused the roof of the factory to collapse, trapping several people inside.
According to authorities, 12 individuals were present in the factory at the time of the incident. As of now, two people have been rescued from the site. The rescue operation is still ongoing, with medical teams and firefighters working tirelessly to assist the victims.
Bhandara’s Collector Sanjay Kolte, speaking to ANI, confirmed the details of the incident. "After the accident blast in Ordnance Factory Jawahar Nagar Bhandara, firefighters and ambulances have been dispatched to the spot. The rescue operation is currently underway. A roof has collapsed, and the debris is being cleared with the help of JCB machinery. A total of 12 people are reported to be inside, and two have been rescued," Kolte stated.
Firefighters, along with emergency medical teams, are at the scene to provide immediate assistance and ensure that others trapped in the wreckage are freed safely. Authorities are investigating the cause of the explosion and are expected to provide further details as the situation develops.
