Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched a scathing attack on the Samajwadi Party (SP) and Congress, accusing them of deliberately trying to defame Prayagraj and India. Speaking at a public event, Yogi Adityanath said, "They (Samajwadi Party) left no stone unturned to defame Prayagraj. You were spreading propaganda about Prayagraj... As someone has rightly said, 'Jiski jaisi drishti waisi uski Srishti' (Your perception shapes your reality). They were finding ways to defame Prayagraj."
The CM also refuted claims made by opposition leaders in Parliament about the Maha Kumbh Mela, stating, "Some people were saying in Parliament that thousands of people died during the Maha Kumbh, but the truth is that 28,000 people were reunited with their families during the event." He emphasized that the SP and Congress were not just targeting the BJP but were also undermining India's global image.

Yogi Adityanath further criticized the opposition parties, saying, "Samajwadi Party and Congress only want to defame India. Their fight may be against BJP, but sometimes by fighting against BJP, they go against India." He urged the public to recognize the efforts of the BJP government in promoting India's cultural and spiritual heritage, particularly through events like the Maha Kumbh Mela.
