NCP-SCP leader Jitendra Awhad made a dramatic statement on Tuesday by appearing in handcuffs to protest the deportation of illegal Indian immigrants from the US. Expressing outrage over the alleged mistreatment of Indians abroad, Awhad accused the Indian government of remaining silent on the issue.
"The way Indians are facing injustice in America—being tied up and deported—there is a serious problem with visas. No Indian is safe in America, yet our government refuses to speak a single word against the US," Awhad said.
