In a strong reaction to the detention of a Border Security Force (BSF) trooper by Pakistan Rangers, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee expressed deep concern and sadness. The trooper, identified as Mr. Sahu, was reportedly detained while performing his duties along the India-Pakistan border.
"It is very sad. He is Mr. Sahu, and our party MP, Kalyan Banerjee, is in contact with his family. The government is also in contact, and we want him to be brought back as soon as possible," said Mamata Banerjee in a statement.
The Chief Minister assured that both the state government and the central authorities are working in close coordination to ensure the safe return of the BSF trooper. MP Kalyan Banerjee, who represents the constituency, is reportedly providing full support to the family during this challenging time.
