Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) minister Atishi announced on Tuesday that if the INDIA bloc wins and forms the government after June 4, a thorough investigation into the electoral bonds scheme will be initiated. She emphasized that this probe would not only target BJP leaders but also involve sending ED, CBI, and I-T officers to jail if found guilty.
Addressing a press conference in Delhi, Atishi stated, "The people of this country have made up their minds to remove the BJP government with their votes. They (BJP) can commit as many scams as they want, but after June 4, an investigation into the country's biggest scam will happen. When the INDIA alliance forms the government, the electoral bonds scam worth crores will be probed. This will lead to BJP leaders, as well as ED, CBI, and I-T officers, being sent to jail."
Atishi continued, "I want to clearly tell the BJP that your end is near. The people of the country have made up their minds. After June 4, when the INDIA bloc forms the government, the country's biggest electoral bond scam will be investigated. Not only will BJP leaders go to jail, but also ED, CBI, and IT officers involved in the scam."
Regarding the Delhi High Court's dismissal of Manish Sisodia's bail petitions, Atishi said, "We respect the High Court but respectfully disagree with this decision. The so-called liquor scam is a political conspiracy by the BJP. The conspiracy was hatched when BJP was unable to defeat AAP in the electoral arena and resorted to using ED and CBI."
Atishi's strong statements reflect the AAP's commitment to accountability and its intention to address alleged corruption if given the mandate to govern.
