Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday reviewed the arrangements for the upcoming Garh Ganga Mela 2025 in Hapur, emphasizing discipline, cleanliness, and safety at the grand religious fair. Chairing a meeting with district officials and public representatives, he directed that every aspect of the event should reflect cultural integrity and devotion.
The Chief Minister issued a firm directive against the use of inappropriate music or performances during the mela, urging officials to promote traditional art and culture instead.
“No obscene songs should be played during cultural programs. Instead, we should bring in good teams from the cultural department and include folk artists, folk singers, and folk art in the performances,” said CM Yogi Adityanath.
He also instructed the deployment of NDRF and SDRF teams to handle any emergency situations and told officials to behave respectfully with devotees. Stressing on efficiency and public convenience, CM Yogi added that the public redressal system must be strengthened, and CCTV cameras, parking spaces, and mobile toilet facilities must be in place.
“In future, we should try to install zero liquid discharge toilets,” he added.
Highlighting the importance of hygiene and women’s safety, the Chief Minister directed that ghats be designed to prevent chaos and that changing rooms for women be made available. He reiterated that cleanliness and environmental responsibility remain top priorities.
“Changing rooms for women should be available. Cleanliness should be given special importance. Single-use plastic has been banned. Safety from electrocution should be ensured. Fire safety precautions have been taken. Temporary hospitals should be built. Anti-snake venom and rabies vaccine should be available. SDRF, NDRF teams should keep patrolling during the bath,” said CM Yogi Adityanath. (Quote credit: ANI)
