aharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Saturday credited the ‘Ladli Behan Yojana’ for his party’s electoral success, stating that the overwhelming support from women had strengthened their commitment to public welfare.
“When we announced the ‘Ladli Behan Yojana,’ the women of the state blessed us with a landslide victory, and hence our responsibility increased even more,” Shinde said, emphasizing the impact of the scheme on the political landscape.
He also lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the central government for running multiple welfare schemes for women. Taking a veiled dig at political opponents, Shinde remarked, “Hum ladli behnon ke sath hain jinhone sautele bhaaiyon ko ghar baitha diya” (We stand with our dear sisters who sidelined their stepbrothers).
