In a dramatic turn of events in Palanpur, Gujarat, a man set his Ola scooter on fire outside a showroom, claiming the company ignored his repeated complaints about a faulty steering rod. The shocking incident, captured on camera, quickly went viral on social media.
According to reports, the man alleged that the scooter’s steering wheel and tyre connection suddenly broke while he was riding with his five-year-old son. Frustrated by the company’s inaction, he poured kerosene on the vehicle and ignited it in front of the showroom, completely destroying the scooter.
A crowd gathered as the flames engulfed the vehicle, but thankfully, no one was injured since the scooter was being ridden at a slow speed, averting what could have been a serious accident. The incident highlights growing concerns among customers over safety issues and poor grievance redressal by electric vehicle companies.
