A day after accusing her brother Tejashwi Yadav of “forcing her out of the family,” RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav’s daughter Rohini Acharya has escalated her allegations, claiming she faced severe humiliation and abuse from within her own household.

In a detailed post shared on social media on Sunday, Rohini said she was subjected to “filthy abuses” and even threatened with a slipper. “I was humiliated… a slipper was raised at me. I did not compromise on my self-respect… and solely because of this, I had to endure this insult,” she wrote. She added that she was compelled to leave behind her emotional parents and sisters. “Kal ek beti majboori mein apne rote hue maa-baap beheno ko chhod aayi, mujhse mera maayka chhudvaya gaya… mujhe anaath bana diya gaya,” she wrote. Rohini, speaking to reporters a day earlier, directly blamed Tejashwi Yadav and his close associates Sanjay Yadav and Rameez for isolating her from the family. “I have no family… They are the ones who threw me out,” she said, linking the internal conflict to the RJD’s poor performance in the Bihar Assembly elections. The RJD managed to win only 25 seats, while the NDA swept the state with 202 seats, leaving the Mahagathbandhan alliance with just 34 seats. According to Rohini, any attempt to question responsibility for the defeat invited hostility. She alleged that even taking Sanjay or Rameez’s names could lead to being “thrown out of the house” or attacked.

Earlier, Rohini had announced that she was “quitting politics” and “disowning” her family, claiming the move was demanded by Sanjay and Rameez. Despite past speculation about tension in the Yadav family, she had remained an active campaigner for Tejashwi during the election season.
