In a startling claim, Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar announced on Thursday, May 30, that political adversaries are using 'Aghoris' and 'tantriks' to perform black magic rituals against him and Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. Speaking to the media, Shivakumar stated that he has credible information about a yagya (special worship) being conducted by 'Aghoris' near the Rajarajeshwari temple in Kerala with the intent to destabilize the Congress government.

"The ritual is underway and is being conducted against me, the CM, and to destabilise the Congress government," Shivakumar reiterated. He specified that the rituals involved, known as ‘Raja Kantaka’ and ‘Marana Mohana Stambhana’ yagyas, are aimed at eliminating enemies.

Shivakumar revealed that 21 red goats, three buffaloes, 21 black sheep, and five pigs are being sacrificed as part of these black magic rites. He emphasized that this information came directly from individuals participating in the ritual.

When asked if leaders from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) or JD-S were responsible for these actions, Shivakumar indicated that politicians from Karnataka were behind it. "I know who is conducting this ritual. Let them continue their efforts; I don’t bother. It is left to their belief system. Despite their attempts and experiments to cause harm, the force which I believe in will protect me," he asserted.

Regarding whether he would conduct a counter-worship, Shivakumar stated, “I pray to God for a minute every day before going to work.” He deflected further inquiries about the identities of those involved, suggesting that the media should investigate rather than pressing him for names.

"Why would I bother about it? It is their attempt. It is their belief. No matter what they attempt, the forces we believe in will protect us," Shivakumar concluded.
