Samajwadi Party MLA Abu Azmi has sparked a debate with his remarks on Holi celebrations and religious harmony, urging people not to forcibly throw colors on others, especially during Ramadan.
"Holi is a festival, and everyone has the full right to celebrate their festival. This country follows the Ganga-Jamuni culture, where everyone lives together as brothers. When it comes to Namaz during Ramadan, even those who do not pray regularly throughout the year make sure to offer Namaz in Ramadan. Ramadan holds great significance, and people gather in large numbers to pray…I urge everyone not to forcibly throw colors on anyone during the festival, leading to conflicts or fights," Azmi stated.
