Amid rising tensions and worsening security conditions in Iran, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) announced on Tuesday that Indian students in Tehran have been successfully relocated to safer locations outside the city. The move comes as part of a broader safety initiative coordinated by the Indian Embassy in Iran.
The MEA confirmed that arrangements were swiftly made to ensure the safety of Indian nationals in Tehran, particularly students, who have now been moved to undisclosed locations deemed more secure. Additionally, Indian residents with access to personal transportation have been advised to evacuate the city voluntarily due to the deteriorating situation.
In a parallel effort, a number of Indian citizens have also been assisted in exiting Iran via its northern border with Armenia. The MEA stated that the Embassy is maintaining continuous communication with members of the Indian community in Iran, aiming to provide all feasible assistance during this uncertain period.
