Prime Minister Narendra Modi reaffirmed India's position as the world's fastest-growing economy, citing the World Bank’s strong endorsement of the country’s economic trajectory. Addressing the ‘Invest Madhya Pradesh - Global Investors Summit 2025’ in Bhopal, PM Modi declared that India will continue to outpace global economies, fueling confidence among investors.

"The World Bank has expressed confidence that India will remain the fastest-growing major economy in the coming years," Modi stated, emphasizing India's rising global stature. The recent Global Economic Prospects report by the World Bank predicts India will maintain its growth momentum for at least the next two years.

India, which overtook the UK in 2022 to become the world’s fifth-largest economy, is on track to surpass Japan and Germany, making it the third-largest economy by the end of Modi’s third term.

During the summit, PM Modi also unveiled 18 new policies of the Madhya Pradesh government, highlighting the state’s rapid industrial growth and emergence as a key player in India's electric vehicle revolution. He credited the "double engine" governance—BJP-led leadership at both state and central levels—for accelerating development.

"The pace of growth in Madhya Pradesh has doubled due to the double-engine government," he asserted, positioning the state as a prime investment hub.
