India's Voice Now Heard Worldwide, PM Modi Called 'Boss': Defence Minister Rajnath Singh

Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh highlighted a remarkable shift in India's international standing, stating that earlier, India's words were not taken seriously at global forums. "Today, when I speak, the whole world listens," Singh said. Speaking at a public rally in Palwal, Haryana, he praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi, noting that many world leaders refer to Modi as 'boss' and hold him in high regard.

Singh recalled, "Just 25 years ago, India was not taken seriously on the international platform, but because of PM Modi's effective leadership, other countries now pay attention to India's voice. Many global leaders regard Prime Minister Narendra Modi with respect, some even terming him as 'Boss' or 'Great'."

Addressing the achievements under Modi's leadership, Singh contrasted it with previous administrations. He pointed out that when Manmohan Singh became Prime Minister in 2004, India was ranked 11th globally. However, by 2014, after ten years of Congress rule, the ranking remained the same. "Under Narendra Modi, in just 8 years, India has climbed to the fifth biggest economy in the world," Singh emphasized.

Singh also criticized Congress for neglecting infrastructure development at the borders. He claimed, "Congress did not even develop infrastructure on the country's borders, because the then Defence Minister said that China would get angry if roads were built in the border areas."

Furthermore, he accused the Congress of frequently dissolving elected state governments, a practice not seen under Modi. "The Congress claimed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would dissolve elected state governments in his third term, but Prime Minister Modi hadn't dissolved any government in the past decade. In contrast, the Congress dissolved elected governments over 132 times, with Indira Gandhi responsible for 90 of those instances," he alleged.

Highlighting the achievements under the BJP government, Singh mentioned the 'One Rank One Pension' scheme and India's growing export capabilities. "India has achieved significant milestones, including exporting approximately Rs 21 thousand crores worth of goods annually and selling BrahMos missiles to other nations," he added.
