The minister also underscored India's strong advocacy for the Global South, stressing the importance of ensuring their aspirations are represented on the global stage. "As the Global South emerges as the future driver of economic growth, it is imperative that we ensure its aspirations and interests are fully represented. India has consistently championed this cause—whether through the Voice of the Global South Summits or our G20 Presidency, where we ensured the African Union’s full membership in the G20," he added.
Jaishankar further pointed to India’s continued engagement with key international platforms such as the Forum for India-Pacific Islands Cooperation (FIPIC) and the India-Africa Forum Summit (IAFS), reinforcing its commitment to global partnerships and inclusive economic development.
