In a proactive stance ahead of the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections, Janata Dal United's (JD(U)) national executive president and party MP, Sanjay Jha, has outlined a comprehensive strategy emphasizing governance achievements and the significance of women's participation in electoral outcomes.

Talking to ANI, Jha highlighted JD(U)'s optimism following their performance in the recent Lok Sabha elections, where they secured leads in 177 out of 243 assembly constituencies. "The 2025 assembly elections will hinge significantly on our developmental work. While caste dynamics play a role in Bihar politics, it is limited in influence," stated Jha, underscoring the party's focus on governance and inclusive development initiatives.

Emphasizing unity within the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), Jha expressed confidence in securing a decisive victory in 2025. "The NDA's cohesive effort in the Lok Sabha elections will be replicated in the assembly polls. We expect better results than in previous years, especially surpassing our 2010 performance," he affirmed.

Praising Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's leadership and active campaign involvement, Jha dismissed speculations about Kumar's political future. "Nitish Kumar remains in robust health and continues to garner trust among the electorate. The recent Lok Sabha elections reaffirmed people's faith in his leadership," Jha asserted.

Regarding Bihar's demand for special state status, Jha criticized opposition parties for their historical neglect of this issue during their tenure in power. "The opposition, which had significant influence in previous governments, failed to advocate for Bihar's special state status. In contrast, JD(U) remains steadfast in its demand," he remarked.

Reflecting Kumar's advocacy, Jha highlighted the significance of Bihar receiving additional support to accelerate its development trajectory. "Our goal is to secure assistance that ensures Bihar's progress without political interference. Whether through special state status or a tailored economic package, Bihar deserves equitable support," he affirmed.

Jha concluded by reaffirming JD(U)'s commitment to inclusive governance and electoral transparency, positioning the party strategically for the upcoming elections under Nitish Kumar's seasoned leadership.
