Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde praised the people of Bihar for delivering what he described as a “historic and decisive mandate” in favour of development, stability, and effective governance. Speaking to reporters in Patna after attending the swearing-in ceremony of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Shinde said the poll outcome reflects a clear public endorsement of a development-oriented leadership.

“I am proud of the people of Bihar. They have embraced change and chosen the path of progress. They have endorsed development and firmly rejected jungle raj. I wholeheartedly congratulate Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar ji, along with their entire team,” Shinde said, crediting the people for shaping the state’s new political direction.

Shinde asserted that the sweeping victory was not merely a political success but a strong validation of the governance model pursued by both the Centre and the state. He highlighted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s push for a “double-engine government” has accelerated Bihar’s progress and strengthened the state’s developmental framework.

According to Shinde, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s longstanding emphasis on law and order has brought about a visible transformation across Bihar. “The atmosphere that once prevailed in Bihar has completely changed. There is no place for fear or hooliganism today. What we see now is democracy, development and people-centric governance,” he said.

He credited this shift to the combined leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, stressing that their partnership has been “instrumental in scripting a new chapter in Bihar’s progress.”
