Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut expressed strong confidence in the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) alliance?s chances in the upcoming Legislative Council elections. Given the current political climate and recent Lok Sabha results, Raut believes many MLAs are inclined to support the MVA.

?There is a pool of 23 votes for the Legislative Council elections,? Raut noted. ?I am absolutely sure that all three candidates of the Maha Vikas Aghadi will be elected, given the current situation.?

Raut questioned the assumption that only Congress votes could split, pointing out that votes from the BJP, Shinde group, and Ajit Pawar group could also fragment. ?Did they fall from the sky?? he asked. ?They have power and money, but public opinion is on our side.?

Highlighting the efforts of key MVA leaders, Raut emphasized that Uddhav Thackeray, Sharad Pawar, Jayant Patil, and their colleagues are working diligently to ensure their candidates? success. ?Even the BJP does not have enough votes to elect all its candidates. The Ajit Pawar group and Shinde group do not have sufficient votes either,? he stated.

The MVA has fielded three candidates, including Jayant Patil of the Farmers? Labor Party and Milind Narvekar of the Shiv Sena. Raut confidently asserted that both candidates would be elected. He reiterated his point about potential vote splitting across all parties, not just Congress. ?Their MLAs can also split or take different stances. No one should be under the illusion that only Congress?s opinion will be split and no one else?s,? he warned.

Raut also criticized the perceived misuse of power, citing the example of Ganpat Gaikwad being allowed to come from jail to vote, while Anil Deshmukh and Nawab Malik were not granted the same opportunity. ?This is called the use or abuse of power,? he remarked.

Turning his attention to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Raut urged him to focus on Mumbai?s development, including the Goregaon-Mulund Link Road project. ?They should come to Mumbai and think about the development here. They should discuss with Aditya Thackeray for more information,? he advised.

Raut also commented on the unemployment situation in Gujarat, where thousands of youths are competing for 40 private job positions. ?This is a living example of the game Modi has played on the unemployment issue,? he said. ?Modi has not been able to provide employment in his Gujarat. This Gujarat model of Modi will lead the country to destruction.?
