Following his victory in the Nilambur Assembly by-election, Congress candidate Aryadan Shoukath has launched a scathing attack on the Kerala state government, calling his win a clear reflection of growing public discontent and anti-incumbency against the ruling Left Democratic Front (LDF).
Speaking to reporters after the result was declared, Shoukath said, “This victory is really against the state government. I had already said there is an anti-incumbency wave. Nilambur has suffered from years of negligence by the government. The people have now responded through the ballot.”
Aryadan Shoukath, a well-known face in the Congress, won the by-election with a convincing margin, signaling a significant setback for the CPM-led LDF government in Kerala.
