Prime Minister Narendra Modi has outlined significant plans for Varanasi's growth, stating that the city's ongoing development projects will revolutionize both its infrastructure and business landscape. Speaking during his visit to the city, PM Modi emphasized the potential of Varanasi as a center for economic and sports development.
"In the coming months, when all the development work will be completed, when commuting to and from Varanasi will become easier, there will be progress in work and in businesses," PM Modi said, highlighting the long-term benefits of the city's transformation.
As part of the plans to modernize Varanasi, the Prime Minister mentioned the commencement of trials for the city’s first Cable Transit (CT) ropeway. This innovative transportation solution is expected to ease traffic congestion and provide faster access to key areas of the city.
"We are in constant pursuit of providing growth opportunities to the youth of Kashi in the field of sports. We are trying our best to be able to host the 2036 Olympics. But to shine in the Olympics, the youth of Kashi will have to begin training today," PM Modi added, underlining the government's commitment to nurturing young talent and fostering world-class sports infrastructure in the region.
