Former Bihar Chief Minister and senior RJD leader Rabri Devi has launched a scathing attack on the BJP over the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral rolls in the state, accusing the ruling party of orchestrating a systematic disenfranchisement of voters ahead of the upcoming assembly polls.

Speaking to the media on Friday, Rabri Devi claimed that over 61 lakh names have been unjustly removed from the voter list under the guise of revision.

“The BJP is snatching away the people’s right to vote. Removing such a massive number of names is nothing short of murder of democracy,” she said.

The former CM alleged that the selective voter deletion targets the poor, marginalized communities, and those seen as traditional non-BJP voters, calling it an attempt to rig the electoral process in advance.
