In a major outreach to women beneficiaries, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav released the June installment of the Ladli Behna Yojana from Belkheda, Jabalpur. A total of ₹1,551.44 crore was directly deposited into the bank accounts of over 1.27 crore women across the state.
Additionally, more than ₹341 crore was transferred to various pension beneficiaries, marking another milestone in the state’s welfare initiatives. In a festive gesture, the Chief Minister also announced an extra ₹250 bonus that will be credited to Ladli Behna accounts next month as a Raksha Bandhan gift.
Beyond the financial aid, Belkheda also received a flurry of development announcements. These include the opening of a new college, a revenue office, and residential quarters for government officials, aimed at boosting local infrastructure and governance.
Chief Minister Yadav also inaugurated and performed bhumi-pujan for projects worth ₹22.44 crore in Jabalpur. This included the inauguration of 5 projects totaling ₹15.09 crore and the foundation stone laying of 3 projects worth ₹7.43 crore. These development efforts had initially been scheduled for June 13 but were postponed due to a plane crash in Ahmedabad.
The event witnessed the presence of several prominent leaders and officials, including MP Ashish Dubey, MLAs Neeraj Singh and Ashok Rohani, former MLA Pratibha Singh, Collector Deepak Saxena, and SP Sampat Upadhyay.
