With the grand Rath Yatra 2025 set to draw lakhs of devotees to Puri over nine days starting June 29, the district administration and Puri Police have put in place an extensive traffic and parking plan to avoid congestion and ensure devotees’ safety.
Vehicles arriving from Brahmagiri, Bhubaneswar, and Konark will have dedicated routes and specific parking areas. Special shuttle routes for auto-rickshaws have been set up to help pilgrims reach their destinations without getting caught in jams.
Autos entering from Talabania will move through Water Works Road, Odisha Bakery, and Ram Mandir to reach Ghoda Bazar, then return by Ram Mandir, Shreekhestra Colony, and Mangala Mandir. Those coming from Malatipatpur can go up to Atharanala via Batagaon Chhaka, while autos from Brahmagiri will be permitted up to Sterling Chhaka through Mangalaghat. All autos must use the same routes for return.
