The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) on Wednesday expelled 10 leaders, including Dehri MLA Fateh Bahadur Singh, for engaging in “anti-party activities” ahead of the Bihar Assembly elections. The disciplinary action comes as the party faces increasing internal dissent over ticket distribution.
In an official statement, State RJD president Mangani Lal Mandal announced the expulsion of Fateh Bahadur Singh, who is contesting as an independent candidate after being denied a ticket by the party.
“Fateh Bahadur Singh, MLA from Dehri, and nine others have been expelled for anti-party activities,” Mandal said.
The expelled leaders also include state vice president Satish Kumar and former MLAs Gulam Jilani Warsi and Reyazul Haq Raju.
This latest disciplinary action follows the expulsion of 27 leaders, including two sitting MLAs and five former legislators, just two days earlier, signaling growing rifts within the party ranks.
Reacting to the mass expulsions, BJP IT Cell head Amit Malviya took a dig at the RJD on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), writing: “At this rate, the party will soon be left without any workers as well as voters.”
