Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav has launched a sharp attack on the authorities, alleging that party workers are being systematically intimidated and harassed ahead of crucial political developments.
Yadav claimed that those in power are creating an atmosphere of fear to suppress the Samajwadi Party’s grassroots network. “They are threatening the workers and forcing them to act out of fear. They are also intimidating and harassing them,” he said, pointing specifically to incidents in Kanpur.
Calling Kanpur a glaring example of the alleged misuse of administrative power, Yadav noted that “More than a hundred complaints have been filed, yet no FIR has been registered.” He accused officials of deliberate inaction and bias, arguing that the law is being selectively applied.
